Workshop: New Signal Processing capabilities in MATLAB and SimulinkSunday, March 20, 09:30 - 12:30, Convention Center Room 112-AIn this presentation, you will learn how new tools and capabilities in MATLAB and Simulink help you better analyze, model, design and implement signal processing systems. We will demonstrate the design of fixed-point multirate filters, validate the design, generate automatic VHDL code and co-simulate the generated code with Simulink and ModelSim. We will also analyze and model various components of the IEEE Wireless LAN standard 802.11a while showcasing new capabilities including the bit error rate analysis tool, channel model visualization, algorithm development with the Embedded MATLAB Function block, and receiver front-end modeling with the RF Blockset. Finally, we will demonstrate model-based design of real-time video processing systems with blocks from Simulink, Signal Processing and Video and Image Processing blocksets. You will learn about different aspects of system design, converting the design from a floating-point to a fixed-point representation and how MathWorks tools allow interactive visualization and verification of simulation results. Presented by: Houman Zarrinkoub Registration: The workshop is full. Please check on-site for a waiting list. |
