Advances in Waveform Agile Sensor ProcessingOrganizers: Antonia Papandreou-Suppappola and Darryl Morrell, Arizona State UniversityThe area of signal processing has recently been instrumental in providing new advances in integrated sensor processing and sensor networks for the development of high performance sensor systems. A capability that is increasingly important within these systems is the design and configuration of waveforms to allow sensors to change modalities and adapt to different environments and scenarios. For example, modern agile sensor systems can provide high resolution images, detect fast moving objects, and can change waveforms from pulse to pulse. Such mode-switchable and configurable sensors can permit intelligent waveform synthesis and analysis, and can greatly improve overall system performance. Applications of waveform agile sensor design include wireless sensor networks, adaptive radar and beamforming, and tracking, detection and navigation. Overview lecture: Regular lectures:
