Workshop: Digital Signal Processing System-Level Design Based on LabVIEW and TMS320C6000™ DSPs

Friday, March 18, 14:00 - 17:00, Convention Center Room 112-A

Format: Hands-on Workshop

Length: 3 Hours

Prerequisites: Attendees should have basic DSP knowledge.

Level: Introductory

Abstract: LabVIEW, developed by National Instruments, is a graphical programming environment suited for high-level or system-level design. It allows integrating different signal processing components or subsystems within a graphical framework. This session consists of a presentation and a hands-on lab. The presentation and labs will aid those who are already familiar with DSP concepts and wish to build DSP systems by using the graphical programming environment of LabVIEW and by seamlessly integrating NI LabVIEW with TI Code Composer StudioTM Development tools. The hands-on portion will include a brief introduction to LabVIEW, along with building an application to directly share information from the DSP through RTDX, as well as visualize and control data with LabVIEW debugging workbench.

Speaker: Jim Zachman, Hyperception, a National Instruments Company
